Housing & Roommate Resources
Sharing an apartment or house can be an effective strategy in lowering your cost of living expenses, whether it is with one person or multiple people. There are many platforms like Kijiji, Roomies, Craigslist, Padmapper, Facebook, etc. where you can post and look for offers for roommates.
One of the most requested resources and requests for support is about housing. As an organization, our primary purpose is to create space for community members to connect. Though our capacity as an organization is very limited, one of the intentional spaces we can make is a moderated roommate bulletin board for 2SLGBTQ+ community members in Ottawa.
The Shared Living Board is not a replacement for well established platforms where housing opportunities are posted. This is an addition for the 2SLGBTQ+ community to have a safer, alternative option not tied to social media platforms.
